If it seems like Costa Rica is popping up on all your friends’ Insta feeds this year, well, that’s because it is. Another hot destination, both literally and figuratively, Costa Rica is where to be. Eco-friendly and wellness-focused, Our Habitas is putting down roots too with their new hotel in Santa Teresa. This is the first look.
Habitas has become synonymous with wellness traveling with its homes in unique destinations like Mexico, Chile, Morocco, and Namibia. It attracts travelers who are seeking food for the soul. In their array of attractive destinations, the newest one is Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.
About Habitas
The chain of hotels describes itself as a place that offers ‘luxury travel for the soul’. Rightfully so, each of their destinations is an unexplored jewel of the planet that offers a mix of cultural exploration and adventure. Our Habitas, Tulum is their flagship property that can also be viewed as an inspiration for their Santa Teresa home. The property in Tulum is located on the convergence of the Mayan Jungle and the Caribbean Sea. The hotel offers its guests a chance to be one with the natural surroundings. The room rates start from 500 dollars and increase depending on your room preference. They also offer a complimentary night on every 3 nights booked. The rates vary for different properties across the globe ranging from 180 to 1000 dollars.
Our Habitas, Santa Teresa
This property is the newest addition to the Our Habitas homes. Very similar to its parent property in Tulum, this home is also located on the beach with the jungle as its backyard. It has four different kinds of rooms; the explorer (tents with shared bathrooms), the jungle (huts in the jungle), ocean-front (short walk from the beach), and the canopy (first or second floor with balcony or terrace).
Wellness & Dining
Santa Teresa is a surfer’s paradise and Our Habitas ensures you get access to the waves all day long. It’s minutes from Playa Santa Teresa’s turf. They also have adventure programs in which you get to trek through the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve.
Their restaurant, ‘Sauwe,’ translates to “exquisite” in the local language. It has local cuisines and dishes cooked in woodfire on its menu.
With its Bohemian vibe, the first impression of Our Habitas, Santa Teresa is a good one. We still have to gain first-hand experience though, and we will come back to you with the details on this one soon.
