Lo & Sons: Helen Lo’s Long-Term Solution

loandsons3

Why we like it:

Just because we’re used to going through airport security, doesn’t mean that we’re ready to go through the process with just any bag we can find. When Founder and CEO of Lo & Sons, Helen Lo, initially set out to find the perfect bag for her frequent travels that didn’t irritate the back pains she had developed in her mid-60s, she quickly found that everything on the market was either too heavy, too overpriced, too ugly, or too old-fashioned. Rest assured, she and her family have now solved the problem for us all. And that’s why we like it.

What to know:

The signature Lo & Sons bag, the O.G. overnight bag, is a carefully-designed shoulder bag with a suitcase-handle sleeve, a detachable messenger strap, separate 13” laptop and shoe compartments, and plenty of pockets that account for everything you may need for an overnight stay while also being as lightweight as humanly possible. The nylon exterior is water-resistant, the cotton poly blend is as durable as can be, and the signature hummingbird print on the inside just damn well looks good.

Since then, the Lo & Sons team have developed laptop bags, camera bags, clutches, and backpacks for both men and women – all are chic, all are light, and all transition seamlessly from daytime to nighttime. As the Lo & Sons team so aptly put it, it’s all about “less fumbling, more globetrotting.”
