While she does not have full control of the Bedford, which leaves much of the quality control and branding outside of her control, her spirit is there. Perhaps his experience touring the country for the best recipes, as well as his professional chef training were the ingredients necessary. Unfortunately, like Gordon and many other famous chefs, partnerships with entertainment groups have meant that top-down quality control has been lacking. But new restaurants in his name such as a new Italian restaurant in his hometown of Columbus will bode better.

One celeb chef that hasn’t forgotten her chef roots is Christina Tosi. Christina is a two-time James Beard award winner, with creative and trendy takes on dessert. Her charming Milk Bars across the US feature her famous Cereal Milk and Birthday Cake truffles and slices, as well as her trademarked Gooey Bars and pudding pints. She started as the pastry chef for another famous chef, David Chang, and his training and spirit are evident in her creations.
