There’s something about the New Year that makes me feel like anything is possible. And every year, I wake up on New Year’s with that at the top of my mind, and it makes me grateful that I still look at life with hopes and dreams. Travel makes that possible for me, and I think 2025 will be the most epic year for adventures yet.

A New Year

The clock just struck midnight, and we find ourselves in a new year. When I initially started writing my first musings, it was as if something at the level of Disney magic would happen at 12:01am. In a way there was magic, as I was with two of my favorite people, drinking a 1989 Lynch Bages. But I digress, as the point is that it isn’t the turning of the clock that makes magic. It’s our frame of mind.

In my view, there is so much reason to hope when you start a new year. A new year is a symbolic clean slate to go for whatever it is you want in your life. Whether that’s a promotion, meeting someone special, getting healthy, or planning a trip, there’s an excitement that anything is possible. And it’s those possibilities that make me think that maybe at 12:01am, there is that Disney magic.

The Magic Number of 25

When I was 25 years old, I distinctly remember feeling like I was Leonardo, King of the World. There was no ceiling to the success that I could achieve. My girlfriends Jessica, Sharmila and I would have champagne and sushi at the Park Hyatt, while getting chatted up by Middle Eastern royalty. There was actually even a conversation about how we would never be more attractive in our lives than at that point. I laugh now looking back at our blissful, youthful, ignorance. Your twenties are such a beautiful stage of life, but luckily, we didn’t peak at that point.

Instead, there is something about this stage in my life that I still feel that unlimited ceiling. But now, I’ve put in place all the right components to achieve dreams I didn’t even know I had. I am so excited about new strategies we’re starting this year at Galavante. We will be launching the E-Commerce travel store on our website, as well as a slew of projects for our online magazine, and leisure and corporate travel divisions. I have two TV shows in the works, and on top of that, my humanitarian show that is my heart, is getting new life. My travel this year is already scheduled for at least 25 countries, if not more. Travel feeds my soul, and I am so excited to explore the world.

But beyond any of all of these things to look forward to, I feel so lucky to have my family and friends in my life. There is so much love around me, that I think 2025 is going to be the best year of my life.

So this 2025, I wish you not only the best, but the best year of your life.
