The first time I heard of Capri, I was a student at the Vienna University of Business and Economics, backpacking throughout Europe. My friend Kevin and I ventured to Naples, and sadly did not have enough in our budget to take the boat to the famed island of Capri.
Since then, Capri has been the summer destination of my more fortunate friends, as well as often mentioned in celebrity travel, in my guilty pleasure of US Magazine. It took me 15 years, but this Spring I finally experienced Capri for myself.
I travel for work now, but Capri was the segment of my trip where it was all about vacation. Ironically, this is the location where we got some of our most exceptional recommendations. I can still taste the vongole and linguini at Da Aurora, the best I’ve ever had, and still picture the delicious tomatoes at Villa Verde which were like candy. Candy was abundant at Villa Verde – especially with the very charming waitstaff and the patrons dining on the outdoor patio. Ever wonder where Jay Z, Beyonce and certainly every celebrity congregates on Capri? Villa Verde is it. If you are wondering if Capri lives up to the hype, the answer is, you should go see for yourself. All the Best,
