More specifically, they are in Cavaniola Gourmet, a renowned cheese shop that will satisfy any savory cravings you might have.
Cavaniola in the Hamptons
There are four Cavaniola locations in the Hamptons: two gourmet cheese shops (one in Sag Harbor, the other in Amagansett), one wine shop (in Sag Harbor), and Cavaniola Kitchen that offers catering (also in Sag Harbor).
Don’t come knocking on the door of the Amagansett location at 2:00 AM for your Camembert fix, however. That’s what the vending machines are for. They are located in the Sag Harbor shop, in a separate area that can be accessed 24/7, so that you can have a late-night Swiss fondue with friends, whenever the fancy takes you.
What’s in the vending machines?
Since they opened in December 2024, Cavaniola Gourmet’s vending machines have been packed with all sorts of delicacies. No Snickers or Coke in sight. This isn’t that kind of vending machine.
As expected from a cheese shop, there is a large variety of cheese on offer, but not only. There are olives, charcuterie, caviar, olive oil, pâté, mustard, sardines, honey, jam, crackers, butter, and more. In short, everything you need for an impromptu but sophisticated picnic or snack. There is no wine on offer in the vending machines, but there’s chocolate — surely, that’s just as satisfying.
Note that the vending machines only take cards, not cash. Come prepared.
