Finally, hotels are opening in NYC that do justice to one of the greatest cities on earth. Part of the design chic Firmdale family (aka sister Crosby Street Hotel), Warren Street in Tribeca has officially opened its doors. And yes, they’d like to invite you for a cup of tea.
Background
Warren Street Hotel is bringing something new to Tribeca. Firmdale opened the hotel on February 1. Renowned designer Kit Kemp has funneled her passion for modern art into the hotel’s creation, and she wasn’t messing around. Kemp is known for her use of bold colors and whimsical patterns (essentially the opposite of the “sad beige” aesthetic).
The Hotel
The hotel stands 11 stories high and includes 69 individual rooms, each following a similar theme. Each room is full of natural light and provides guests with spectacular views of the city. Private terraces are attached to five suites and each room is individually designed. Every piece of the hotel is bright and unique, capturing guests’ attention as they pass through. The amount of detail Kemp has put into the interior design cannot be overstated. As for the exterior, the building is bright blue, contrasting every building near it. Staying at Warren Street Hotel is like staying inside a work of art.
The Restaurant
Warren Street Bar & Restaurant, located on the ground floor of the hotel, is the perfect place to eat if the atmosphere is just as important to you as the taste. The restaurant serves unique and delicious and classic meals, not to mention rich desserts. (We’ll be ordering the chocolate mousse, thank you very much.) The restaurant also offers afternoon tea. Aside from all this, it has character. Kemp designed the dining room in her signature style, using a fun and exciting color palette. Private dining is also an option in the Orangery, for guests who wish to host special events at the hotel.
The Location
The location of Warren Street Hotel is no accident. Guests can walk from the hotel to some of the best restaurants in Tribeca, such as Atera and Frenchette. For the shopaholics, it is also a stone’s throw away from several unique stores, such as Thom Browne and Colony, which are beloved by locals. Luxury spas such as AIRE Ancient Baths, ONDA Beauty, and The Class are also within walking distance from the hotel, giving you the chance to prioritize wellness during your trip to Tribeca. This prime location will make your stay as convenient as it is fun.
