Flying first class is always amazing. But flying in one of Lufthansa’s Allegris First Class Suites, is something else. The Allegris Suites are the airline’s brand-new first-class products for long-haul routes. While less famous than Air France’s La Première and Emirates’ The Residence, Allegris delivers a very similar upscale experience that can wow even the most seasoned of flyers.
The New and Improved Lufthansa First Class
Lufthansa’s new Allegris First Class Suites launched on March 30, 2025. These private rooms above the clouds raise the standards in terms of privacy, comfort, and individual preferences. The Allegris First Class Suite is less like a large and comfortable seat on an airplane and more like a small room in a deluxe flying hotel.
The Suites
There are only three Allegris First Class Suites in each of the airline’s updated Airbus 350s. They are located in the very front of the aircraft with one on each side of the aircraft and one in the middle.
While the suites on the sides are meant for single travelers, the middle suite is set up for two people (although it can also be for a single flyer who wants more space). The double suite has no window and is a lot more costly than the single suite, but it’s also much more spacious and comfortable. Sleeping in a double bed at 40,000 feet is an experience you won’t soon forget.
Each suite is fully enclosed by soft doors and features a large and comfortable seat facing a generous ottoman to rest your feet. The ottoman doubles as a buddy seat in case you want company during the flight, as well as storage space for your luggage. The seat and ottoman convert as a lie-flat bed when you feel it’s time to for some shuteye. There’s also a closet fitted with a full-size mirror to keep you looking sharp.
The Decor, The Gadgets, and The Amenities
Lufthansa opted for an elegant dark blue color scheme for its Allegris Suites. The vibe is luxurious but not showy or over the top. But don’t worry, you still get the extravagance of unlimited caviar and in-flight wine tasting.
In each suite, you will find a pair of noise-cancelling; wireless headphones; a 43-inch screen; and a tablet from where you can control the temperature of your seat and the window shades, among other functions. Of course, there’s also a pair of sleepers, Porsche Design pajamas and a Porsche Design amenity kit full of goodies – you’re on a German airline after all.
