Well, it’s about time, and if we’re betting, it’s going to be well-worth the wait. The iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc will welcome a sister property this summer, located in Saint-Tropez.
The French Riviera has never lacked beautiful hotels. In 2027, however, it will welcome a very particular and illustrious arrival: another Oetker Collection address. If you track the brand with near-religious devotion, this is news worth heralding.
The new hotel will mark Oetker Collection’s first property in Saint-Tropez and will become part of its Masterpiece Hotels portfolio. It expands the brand’s global portfolio to 13 hotels. As always with Oetker, growth comes selectively.
The Setting
The location sets the vibe. Oetker Collection is developing the hotel on the former grounds of Le Mas Bellevue, a modest hospitality property whose real value lay in its stellar location. Set in Ramatuelle between Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne Beach, the land offers rare proximity paired with privacy. This is exactly the combination Oetker Collection tends to seek out. It’s close enough to dip in and out, yet removed from the daily traffic that defines summer here. In this part of the world, that balance is the prize.
The Hotel
Rather than a single large structure, the hotel will take shape as a collection of interconnected two-story buildings. The layout mimics a small hamlet to create a more residential scale. It will offer 53 rooms and suites, and every accommodation will include a private terrace or patio with views of either the sea or the surrounding landscape. The plan intentionally integrates outdoor space rather than treating it as a bonus. Mediterranean views will sweep across the property, reinforcing the sense of openness.
The public areas will feature an oversized infinity pool, restaurant and bar venues, and a comprehensive wellness facility. Landscaped grounds will use native plants and olive trees to help the hotel blend live as a part of its environment. Design details revealed so far include textured plaster walls, white stone flooring, Roman‑inspired arches, wooden beams, and natural materials throughout. The approach reflects both Provençal architecture and Oetker Collection’s broader design language of timeless luxury.
The Team
The project is being developed in partnership with the Pariente and Essebag families, both established names in French luxury hospitality. Architecture is being led by Triptyque, with Olivier Raffaëlli at the helm. Interiors are being designed by Paris-based studio Gilles & Boissier, led by Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier.
Looking Ahead
For Oetker Collection, the Saint-Tropez opening represents a careful entry into one of the Mediterranean’s most competitive destinations. Details will continue to emerge as 2027 approaches. For fans of the brand, this one is worth the wait.
