Marrakech is the land of mosaic courtyards and rooftop mint tea. And now, thanks to Delta, it’s officially easier to get there without hopping through three European layovers and an airport pastry you’ll regret. Starting October 25, 2025, Delta Air Lines is launching its first-ever nonstop flight from Atlanta to Marrakech. That’s right—Georgia to Morocco in one smooth leap. So, whether you’ve been dreaming of camel rides in the Agafay Desert or eyeing that perfect rug for your living room, your boarding call is coming up fast. Marrakech, prepare yourself—Georgia’s finest is en route.
The Flight Plan
Delta is going all-in with a three-times-weekly service connecting Atlanta (ATL) to Marrakech (RAK). The route will be operated by a Boeing 767-400ER. In airline speak, this means a big, comfy plane that knows how to cross oceans with style. Eastbound flights will leave Atlanta in the late afternoon. So you can knock out a workday or a Waffle House breakfast before heading off to Africa. You’ll arrive in Marrakech the following morning, just in time for a fresh-squeezed orange juice in Jemaa el-Fnaa. Then, you can wander through the souks, while they’re still sleepy. This new route makes Delta the only U.S. airline to offer nonstop service to Morocco, and it plugs neatly into its growing Africa network, which already includes Dakar, Lagos, Accra, and Cape Town. It’s also part of Delta’s ongoing codeshare lovefest with Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic. So you can build all sorts of wild multi-city itineraries and still rack up those SkyMiles like a champ.
Delta One
Let’s talk front-of-plane. Because while the Main Cabin and Comfort+ are perfectly respectable (and still come with snacks), this new route is clearly built for those who like to sip champagne at cruising altitude. Delta One is where the magic happens. It comes with lie-flat seats, Westin Heavenly bedding, an extensive wine list, artisan cocktails, and chef-curated meals that rival some of Atlanta’s finer restaurants. There’s also an ice cream sundae cart that roams the aisles like a sweet little miracle. Add Delta’s free high-speed Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members and seatback screens stocked with hours of movies. Throw in noise-cancelling headphones, mood lighting, and enough personal space to do a lazy cat stretch. Suddenly, an eight-hour flight sounds downright indulgent.
Delta Sky Club
The Marrakech flight is not the only headline. A brand-new Delta Sky Club in Concourse D opened, and with 24,000 square feet, it’s the largest Sky Club in Atlanta. It has space for over 500 guests to lounge, sip, snack, and quietly judge everyone still waiting in the main terminal. And the design walks the line between Southern charm and modern polish. It has brick archways, cozy wood accents, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the runway. There’s also a 16-seat bar, a media wall for news and game-day vibes, and plenty of charging ports for those of us glued to our devices. And if you need a private spot, there are private phone booths perfect for work calls. It’s basically Delta’s way of saying: if you’re going to hang out at the airport, you might as well enjoy it.
