You’re a groupie. Or maybe you just want an excuse to travel to some cool cities this summer. Whatever the case, there are some top artists performing in commensurately top cities. Think Taylor in London, Coldplay in Rome, and The Rolling Stones in a U.S. city near you.
The Artist: Coldplay
The City and Dates: Rome, July 12-13 and July 14-15
Coldplay will be performing this summer in Rome as part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour. Supporting acts include Janelle Monae and Rose Villain. The rock group has started to implement sustainability and inclusivity into their shows making it way more accessible. As for sustainability, kinetic flooring converts the crowd’s dancing into energy. Tickets are sold out on their site so look out for resale tickets to be a part of the sustainability initiative and, of course, rock out.
Where to Stay: Hotel Eden, Bulgari Hotel Roma, Six Senses Rome
The Artist: Rolling Stones
The City and Dates: Chicago, June 27 and 30th
The Rolling Stones are still at it, and they are now celebrating their newest album Hackney Diamonds on their North America tour. This is their newest release since 2005, so we’d say it’s a big deal. June 27th and 30th are the last shows before the band moves onto the West Coast. Those few months should give you just enough time to purchase some solid tickets at Soldier Field, some are still under $200. For a band that has made rock history, we’d say that’s not too bad.
Where to Stay: The Peninsula and Park Hyatt
The Artist: Taylor Swift
The City and Dates: London, June 21-23, August 15-17, August 19-20
Taylor Swift is performing for eight days this summer at the Wembley Stadium in London. The shows are part of her Eras tour, an ode to her many eras through her music career. So a range of songs from earlier works to the most recent are expected in the set lists. The tour will be featuring Paramore in Europe before switching to Gracie Abrams in Canada, something to consider if you’re a fan of the British Rock group.
August 20th will conclude her time in Europe before the tours end. If you’re a swiftie, a trip to London is a relatively short flight for tickets that sell out extremely fast.
Where to Stay: The Arts Club, Mandarin Oriental, The May Fair Hotel, and Claridge’s Hotel
