Jordnær

The Restaurant: Jordnær

The caviar-obsessed will love Jordnær. The restaurant has earned two Michelin stars for its excellent cuisine. Chef Eric Kragh Vildgaard is known worldwide for his culinary masterpieces, some simple and others extremely complex. Jordnær’s menu includes items like Bluefin Otoro with Myoga and Caviar, snow crab with mussels and sake, and Takoyaki. 

Maven Restaurant & Wine Bar

The Restaurant: Maven Restaurant & Wine Bar

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, Maven is the place for a relaxing dinner or some top-notch coffee. The restaurant serves high quality Nordic cuisine and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The interior makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Menu items include hand cut beef tartare, ratatouille, and turbot en croûte. 

BarrThe Restaurant: Barr

If you like beer, you’ll love Barr. The restaurant serves classic Nordic cuisine with a creative flare. There is a “beer bar” with 30 seats next to the dining room, for those who are especially serious about beer. At dinnertime, both an à la carte and a four-course menu are available to choose from. The menus include items like schnitzel, pickle garfish, and grilled amberfish. Barr offers several beer pairings to match the cuisine. Additionally, the staff are always happy to add caviar to your meal. 

Marchal

The Restaurant: Marchal 

Sometimes you just want to eat at the hotel. Luckily, Marchal is heads and shoulders above a standard hotel restaurant as it’s located at the d’Angleterre, the most classic luxury hotel in town. Marchal has been awarded a Michelin star for good reason. Executive Chef Jakob de Neergaard serves delicious Nordic-inspired cuisine with a French base. The menu includes items like beef pithivier with mushroom duxelle, turbot with white asparagus and razor clams, and black lobster served with caviar.

Kødbyens Fiskebar

The Restaurant: Kødbyens Fiskebar

Kødbyens Fiskebar is one of the best places to enjoy fresh seafood in Copenhagen. Oysters are their speciality, and you just can’t leave without trying at least one. The restaurant is also known for serving high quality wines. Sustainability, taste, and quality of ingredients are the main focus for Kødbyens staff. Cod tail, monkfish head, and beef tenderloin are just a few menu items.

Kadeau was founded on the island of Bornholm, and continues to use ingredients native to the island even at the Copenhagen location. The restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars, as well as the Michelin Green Star for sustainability. Kadeau harvests ingredients from their very own kitchen garden, which is cared for by the restaurant’s former sous-chef, ensuring that every meal is prepared with the most wholesome ingredients possible. The restaurant is known for serving complex and classic Nordic meals.

Esmée

The Restaurant: Esmée

Esmée is a lively yet elegant place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a meal with friends. The restaurant’s atmosphere harkens back to La Belle Epoque, an era of joy and hopefulness in France. Chef Andreas Bagh serves both French and Nordic cuisine resulting in light, simple meals with delicious flavors. The menu includes meals like halibut ceviche, barbecue rotisserie poussin with truffle mac and cheese, and grilled ribeye with haricots vert.

Iluka

The Restaurant: Iluka

Iluka is a place for seafood lovers to enjoy all their favorite meals on an ever-changing menu. There is a seven-course tasting menu filled with simple yet flavorful dishes.
