Where Kate Hudson Vacations

Kate Hudson

The 2021 Golden Globes saw perennial favorite Kate Hudson on the nomination list once again. Her performance in Music was phenomenal, but we’ve loved her since she was Almost Famous. She’s a strong, independent woman who continues to break traditional gender roles and makes her own happiness. And we’re here to cheer on anyone who does that, especially through travel. Here are some popular places that Kate Hudson travels to, because she knows where all of the best spots are.

Hotel Reviews Little Nell

The Spot: Aspen, Colorado

Aspen is known as a hotspot for celebs in the winter months. Everyone from the Kardashians to Rebel Wilson and Elton John are frequently spotted here. So it comes as no surprise that it’s also where Kate Hudson travels as well. Kate’s parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, have a home here, so keep an eye open as you’re strolling along the streets for them. Recently, Kate was spotted at the St Regis World Snow Polo Championship, as were a few other celebrities. Aspen is one of the most expensive ski towns in the US. Its luxurious hotels, world-class skiing, and high-end restaurants are just a few of the many reasons why celebs vacation here.

The Hotel: The Little Nell

When Kate’s not staying in her family home, a favorite hotel of hers is The Little Nell. Located at the base of the slopes, The Little Nell is a prime celeb spotting location, especially around the lobby. Its custom-designed furniture and “Aspen Chic” aesthetic give it a reputation for having the best rooms in Aspen. The Little Nell is the only hotel with ski-in, ski-out access to Aspen Mountain. After a long day of hitting the slopes you can always cozy up to one of the gas log fireplaces too. The over-the-top service and amenities are exactly why Kate Hudson travels to this hotel in Aspen

Sicilian town on a slope next to the coast.

The Spot: Sicily

This is one of our favorite destinations, which is why we have a whole guide on Sicily. It’s also where Kate Hudson travels with her family. When they aren’t relaxing on their yacht, the famous family can be found attending events in Capri or journeying along the Amalfi Coast. Sicilian life is as laid back and carefree as you can get. Whether you want to catch some rays on the beach or sip some sweet Italian vino, Sicily is the place to be. And you really can’t visit Italy without being a tourist and trying some gelato, just ask Kate.

The Hotel: Grand Hotel Timeo

During their trip to Sicily, Kate and her family ditched the traditional hotel in favour of staying on a private yacht. There really isn’t a better way to tour the Aeolian Islands and see Stromboli erupting in the distance. It’s a scene that looks like fireworks on a starry summer night. If you’re a land lover, the Grand Hotel Timeo is definitely somewhere that Kate Hudson would travel. Belmond Hotels never disappoint, but the Grand Hotel Timeo may be the best of the collection. Not only are the grounds picturesque, but the guest rooms have a view of Mount Etna that’s jaw-dropping. Its classic architecture and sumptuous decor will make you feel like a real celebrity.

The Spot: Skiathos, Greece

If Greece is on your bucket list, Skiathos is where Kate Hudson travels with her family. Her 2021 summer vacation saw Kate and her family hit up many of the hottest beaches on the island. They also looked to be enjoying themselves on their speedboat as they zipped around Skiathos. Kate’s trip in 2018 saw her making use of the many beautiful tavernas and wild nightlife on the island, as well as relaxing on Banana Beach. Skiathos is less crowded than Santorini or Mykonos, so it’s no wonder Kate Hudson travels here almost every summer. It’s the best place to stay under the radar. Kate’s mom, Goldie Hawn, even owns property on the island, they love it that much.

The Hotel: Elivi Skiathos

The breathtaking beachside resort of Elivi Skiathos is where Kate Hudson travels to when she’s staying on the island (other than her family home). In terms of hotels, Kate and her family won’t stay anywhere else. At around $200 a night, and its prime location near Banana Beach, Elivi Skiathos certainly won’t break the bank. Your stay will have you feeling like royalty though. It boasts private villas with pools, high-tech amenities, and beautiful architecture, making it the perfect luxury hotel to vacation in. Even if you’re not famous like Kate Hudson, when you return, they remember you.

The Spot: Ibiza

Everyone knows that the place to be if you’re a celebrity is Ibiza. The island is known for wild parties and nightlife that carries on into the day. When Kate Hudson travels to Ibiza, like everyone else, she frequents the fashionable poolside clubs and bars. But she also has a good time hiking and lounging on the beach. You may also spot Kate eating at one of the island’s small but unbelievable tapas restaurants. When in Spain right? On her days off, she’s known to hit one of the famous hippy markets and make it to the scenic cliffs for sunset.

The Villa: Twin Palms

Kate Hudson won’t just stay anywhere in Ibiza. She rents two five-bedroom private villas with infinity pools and en suite fitness centers from The Island Villas. This would set you back around $80,000 each for two weeks during peak season. Her favorite villa – Twin Palms – is fit for only someone as famous as Kate. The expansive terrace and panoramic views of the bay below are unbeatable. Ibiza’s best beach, Mead’s Bay, has dozens of five-star dining choices. It’s all a two-minute walk down the road from the villa. The convenience of the villa is designed so guests can be tucked away and relax after a wild night out.
