Hawaii 5-0 - Rules of the Road

With Hawaii set to reopen to visitors October 1 (at least as of now), the requirements to enter sound more like Barbados for fellow Americans and all arriving visitors, and yes, include a 14-day mandatory quarantine at home. For Hawaii, that means no trips to the grocery store, no long drives along their stunning coastline and no going to any public areas.  They have prohibited local car rental companies from renting to visitors in the quarantine period and have a hotline for people to call in any violations of the quarantine period.  Regulations are fluid, but Hawaii has been on a lockdown since March. Hawaii also recently released a Safe Travels form, that all visitors also need to complete prior to boarding your flight.  Once approved, you’ll get a QR code to scan when  you arrive at the airport.  So if you think this doesn’t sound fun, you’re right.  Our advice is to wait until restrictions have eased, and hold off on planning that holiday travel to get the real Hawaii experience.
