Favorite Destination (UK)
My favorite destination in the UK is Scotland, where me and my husband celebrated our wedding in 2024. We married on a beautiful white sandy beach in Argyll. It was just the two of us, plus the celebrant and a photographer; who witnessed the marriage. Then we travelled to the Island of Jura, part of the Inner Hebrides, for our honeymoon. Jura is a stunningly beautiful, rugged and remote Island, often described as ‘Britain’s last great wilderness’. The Island has just 230 people living there and about 6000 red deer! This was our second visit to the Island and once again we saw red deer, seals, otters, eagles and peregrine falcons. Now I want to go back and discover many more of the stunningly beautiful locations in Scotland and visit as many of the Islands as I can
Favourite Destination (Europe)
Rome, in Italy. It’s quite simply my favourite city in the world. The whole city is like a living, breathing art gallery and museum and I love the way that enjoying good food is central to the patterns of daily life. I also have a great love for my home town of Bristol, which often tops the list of ‘Best Places to Live in the UK’. I have never known anyone visit Bristol and not absolutely love it. It’s both historic and ancient, but also vibrant, creative and very cool.
Travel Philosophy
I believe firmly in having days where there are no planned trips, no itinerary, no rushing around. You need to have days where you just allow yourself to ‘be’ in a place and enjoy watching the world go by.

Kate lives in Bristol, in the UK, which is part of the ‘West Country’ region. This means that trips down to the sea in stunningly beautiful Devon and Cornwall are within very easy reach, which is lucky, because being by the sea is Kate’s ultimate happy place. Kate has worked in the world of TV and content creation for over 25 years and is currently diving headfirst into the exciting new world of digital content as she prepares to launch a YouTube channel about luxury travel with two collaborators in the US.
