It’s one thing to stay in-the-know for grand hotel partnerships or style collaborations. But it’s a different thing entirely to witness one of the finest luxury hotels in Africa partner up with one of the most refined shoe brands of Paris. The Royal Mansour Marrakech hotel has announced the release of two new babouche slippers by Christian Louboutin. These babouche Louboutin slippers are on sale exclusively at the hotel’s boutique. Talk about one-of-a-kind (well, two-of-a-kind, in this case).
The Man Behind the Babouche Louboutin Slippers
Christian Louboutin is a household name throughout the fashion world. Since the brand’s inception in Paris in 1991, Louboutin has consistently left people in awe. And his unique shoes for both men and women are still pushing fashion boundaries. Louboutin’s shoes are instantly recognizable with their red lacquered soles, which everyone wants to buy. There are imitators out there, but nothing compares to a true Louboutin on your feet. The iconic brand now features handbags, small leather goods, makeup, and perfume.
Babouche Louboutin Slippers
The babouche Louboutin slippers mirror the interior style of the hotel, and are available for both men and women. They’re inspired by the quintessential wooden lattice, floral patterns and horseshoe arches. Think of a traditional Marrakechi slipper but with a Louboutin twang to it. The Lady Mansour slipper is embezzled with mosaic gold and emblazoned with white and taupe designs.
The men’s slipper is shaped like a classic loafer and is accentuated by black suspenders. It draws inspiration from traditional Moroccan men’s sandals and is perfect for both casual and formal settings. The babouche Louboutin’s men’s slipper is topped with a Moroccan flag, as well a customized Louboutin insignia.
The Royal Mansour Marrakech
The Royal Mansour Marrakech alone is worth a trip to Morocco. It’s owned by the King of Morocco, and is still embellishing the old town of Marrakech. The hotel boasts an impressive 53 individual riads, which are uniquely designed over three levels. The Royal Mansour Marrakech’s renovations have expanded the property by almost two acres. Beautiful Moroccan gardens and a 6,500 square foot pool are just some of the new additions. A big hit is Yanick Alleno’s new fine dining poolside restaurant. Guests always leave amazed with its modern twist on traditional cuisine. But inevitably, the highlight is Christian Louboutin’s ultimate souvenir.
Both styles of the babouche Louboutin slippers are now available at the Royal Mansour boutique for $910 for women, and $570 for men. No one else back home will have anything even remotely like it. Which only makes us want to buy them more.
