There are few places as beautiful as the Amalfi Coast, and Positano is at the heart of this gorgeous region. I squeezed this last minute trip in a few months ago, as I could not imagine covering summer travel season without taking a galavante to the Amalfi.
Two of the most gorgeous hotels – and unbelievably romantic – hotels in the world are in Positano. The Il San Pietro lies at the edge of town, built into the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This is the place you go to disappear for a few days, spending afternoons on their private boat getting dropped into the Mediterranean for a swim whenever you fancy, and just soaking in how life is good on their terrace.
To be closer to the center of town, Le Sirenuse is like staying at a very wealthy, yet very welcoming friend’s home. The picture for this issue was taken from our balcony at the hotel, which is a view shared by virtually ever common space in the hotel. This year, they’ve opened a new champagne bar, which is sure to be the center of many an interlude. We hope you have the chance to experience it yourself.
All the Best,
