I am especially nostalgic during October, as this month marks our birthday at Galavante. And this 2014 is officially our fourth anniversary since we started our company. It is with humble gratitude that I have the privilege of thanking our incredibly talented team, many of who have been with us for two years and more, with special recognition to AnneLise Sorensen, who has been our Managing and Copy Editor from almost the beginning.
Over this time, there have been pivotal contributors, from our first web developer Eric Sod, who provided the base of our website, Aidan Pilgrim, who as Executive Editor transformed our editorial two years ago and helped us find our voice, our dedicated Board – the witty Matt Lux, savvy Anup Menon, enthusiastic Jesus Parrilla and the always willing to lend-a-hand Mike Boord. I would be remiss not to also recognize my husband David, as without his swift kick in the pants and generosity to lend our resources to this venture, Galavante wouldn’t even exist.
In four years, it’s this year that we’ve found our way as a business. Expect to see even more articles from real Working Jet Setters and purveyors of taste like Linda Fischbach, CEO of Art Privee, our Family contributors who are General Counsels like Mike Wasserman and Judy Friedman, the diligent Jana Beauchamp, Wine Contributor David Noto of Alta Neve and many more. The beauty of Galavante is that we don’t have to guess what the Working Jet Set wants, because we are the Working Jet Set.
But we have become far more than a magazine in this past four years. We have grown to be a full service travel platform, with VIP membership perks, lavish events, full-service travel concierge, and this November, online travel bookings and the launch of our Reviews, from travelers like you. We are your one-stop shop, and this is just the beginning. Thank you for being along on the adventure. We look forward to many more years of exploring this beautiful world with you.
All the best,
