To kick off the New Year, we galavante to Bella Roma to recover from the holidays and check out the sales. We were fortunate to get our inside recommendations from our close friend Biba, whose sister married into the Ungaro family and lives in Rome. Biba’s taste is impeccable; we take her recommendations wherever we galavante around the world. Rome’s restaurant scene can be challenging to navigate, but with Biba’s favorites – from well-known Dal Bolognese to hidden gems Osteria Margutta, Ristorante Babette and Sagnallo, it will be challenging for you to leave after just a weekend.
Bella Roma holds a special place in my heart; it’s where I started to travel on the higher-end, after I had worked several years and earned that first decent bonus check. My husband and I spent a long weekend in Rome, which made me realize how easy it is to see the world with limited time off work. Rome was my gateway galavante seven years ago, and I’ve been galavanting on weekends to locales from Paris to Istanbul ever since. Not only did I fall in love with Bella Roma, but I fell in love with travel on this trip.
All the Best Wishes for your own adventures in 2011.
