the hamptons

It’s officially Summer season, with the Hamptons kicking off this Memorial Day. The Hamptons is the go-to weekend destination, for good clean, or not-so-clean, fun. You can roll however you want to in the Hamptons, from low-key days on the beach to bottles and models at the new SL East. It’s make your own adventure here, where it is as idyllic as portrayed in the movies.

For me, the Hamptons is my home away from home. East Hampton has been my summer tradition for the past eight years. I spend a weekend here and feel like I’ve rested for a week. And that’s even with my late nights enjoying wine by the pool and an afternoon at Sunset Beach, which is reminiscent of St. Tropez. We stay with friends and cook up grand meals, stopping by Claws on Wheels at least twice a weekend, along with the local farm stands. I’m in school this year so sadly no summer rental, but I will plan to also spend a weekend at the Reform Club, one of the few nice accommodations in Amagansett, and maybe the Carriage House at the Baker House in East Hampton. Either way, it will be nice to be home.

As Emily Cooper will tell you, the European slopes offer a lot more than skiing. The views are breathtaking, food is culinary artistry, and the champagne never needs to stop…
