LPM Arrives in NYC + Boston

Michaela Atiae, Staff Writer

LPM has been on a mission for world domination, from the OG in London to Dubai and Riyadh. Soon, no matter what region of the world you’re in, you’ll be able to taste La Petite Maison’s (LPM) French Riviera-inspired cuisine, starting with tastes of Côte d’Azur, and adding flavors off the shores of neighboring Mediterranean coastlines. The Mediterranean diet celebrates healthy ingredients, and LPM continues to showcase what it means to eat fresh with ‘à la minute’ preparation.

Ten Down, Five to Go

With ten locations already down, including London (the first opening in 2007), Dubai, Mykonos, and Hong Kong, LPM will grace the East Coast with two more locations in Boston and NYC. The ultimate goal is five new locations in the next five years.

Food & Beverage

It doesn’t take a food connoisseur to assume a menu focused on shorelines is heavily fish-focused. At LPM restaurants, you can expect dishes like warm prawns in lemon juice and olive oil, a Seabass grilled in its entirety, or an orange and cabbage duck confit. That isn’t to say that there aren’t other options. Entrées like homemade gnocchi with fresh tomatoes, beef pasta, and baby chicken with preserved lemon are also available.

In addition to the fresh ingredients used in your meals, LPM has a reputation for rare wine selections, specifically Rosé, as an ode to its roots. Or, suppose you’re not too keen on Rosé. In that case, the signature cocktails sport fun names and ingredients like the Olive Oil Sour (served in Mykonos) or the London location’s Room 22—a sharable absinthe fountain with seasonal ingredients. One thing all the menus have in common is the signature Tomatini. They even have a day dedicated to a Tomatini celebration.

The Space

You can expect the signature interiors of the LPM Restaurants blending the Belle Époque—’the beautiful age’ in France between two wars. It’s all about contemporary details for a tastefully glitzy dining experience. This is exemplified in a mix of white china, fine linens, and marble accents, as well as 20th-century artworks from the South of France, 19th-century gilt and harlequin mirrors, and organically unruly flower arrangements. The restaurants also feature large open spaces with rooms buzzing with dinner talk, but none of the claustrophobic feel that tends to follow buzzy restaurants. The hum of Mediterranean Jazz adds to the ease of the experience.

And if you’re still not convinced it’s worth a try, LPM is in the 2024 Michelin Guide, and the Dubai location has won Best French Restaurant of 2023 from the Fact Dining Awards.
