Napa Valley
Some things come full circle. Twenty-plus years ago, Auberge was the only true knock-it-out-of-the-park luxury hotel to grace the sacred land of Napa. Now, with the Auberge Resorts Collection seeking world domination, it’s nice to see they’re back where they started. Here’s a first look at the Stanly Ranch in Napa.
Stanly Ranch
With Stanly Ranch, the Auberge Resorts Collection invites guests to experience a working ranch that’s been converted into a resort. The ranch fosters community and is one of the experiences that make Napa Valley such a cool destination. It’s located at the southern edge of the valley, with the Napa River flowing around the property. The landscape displays the best of what California has to offer — a beautiful big sky and hills that roll off into the distance.
Suites & Cottages
The rooms at Stanly Ranch have been designed with a homey approach. The aim was to create an environment that feels intimate and personal while embracing the surrounding landscape. Stanly Ranch has 78 cottages and suites, with amenities like fire pits, lounge areas, and outdoor showers. In addition, the decor is inspired by ranch life and employs materials such as oak and leather to create a rustic atmosphere. The suites feature large windows and doors that let in tons of natural light. The larger suites are suitable for groups of up to eight people and run about $4,000-5,000 a night. The smaller suites boast the same aesthetic, but are in the $1,000-2,000 range.
Dining on the Ranch
Because this resort is also a working ranch, there are dining experiences to match. Stanly Ranch presents a sustainably-sourced and holistic cuisine that speaks of a connection between the land, the animals, the farmers, and the chefs. Bear is restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner according a seasonal menu with grilled and fermented dishes. Furthermore, chef Garrison Price works with farm director Nick Runkle to pool their skills and create meals that embody a farm-to-table approach. There’s also Gravel — the perfect place for coffee, tea, and freshly baked goods. Basin Bar features poolside spritzes and plant-based snacks.
Activities in Napa
Stanly Ranch also has a spa and wellness center where visitors find total relaxation and mindfulness. Besides proximity to Napa Valley’s best vineyards, Stanly Ranch offers a rich list of activities. Guests can enjoy hiking, wildlife safaris, even hot air balloon rides to experience Napa Valley to the fullest. This is the place to stay while you tick off all the must-do (or must-drink) experiences in the region.
