Imagine answering your door one morning to someone with a court order letting you know that your life as you know it is ending, and there’s not a thing you can do about it. This actual scenario is happening across the US, primarily to the elderly, due to a loophole in which you can be put under guardianship should an unscrupulous doctor partner with Golden Globe winner Rosamund Pike, or at least someone like her character in the Netflix movie I Care a Lot. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
Rosamund Pike recently took home the Golden Globe for her performance, and yes, there will be times you are screaming in frustration at her character. And you won’t know whether to cheer for her and against her. She’s that good. So rom-com this is not; it’s dark humor at times but always thought provoking and keeps you interested until the very end.
