Meadow Lane Grocery

That’s not a line for the gym in Tribeca filled with the best intentions of keeping a New Year’s resolution. The mad stampede is actually to get your hands on the famed chicken fingers and $75 matcha at the new Meadow Lane.

The Store

Meadow Lane opened in late 2025 in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. It was founded by TikTok creator Sammy Nussdorf – better known as Brokeback Contessa. The project began as a digital community, with followers watching Nussdorf document the process of building a grocery store. Now, those same followers can walk its aisles in person.

Meadow Lane is part supermarket, yet also part curated gallery. Beyond the basics, shelves are arranged with obsessive precision. In addition, flower installations look fit for an engagement party. Altogether, the vibe feels closer to a lifestyle club than a corner shop.

The Vision

The aesthetic is the point. Meadow Lane positions itself as New York’s answer to Erewhon, blending wellness culture with luxury retail. Every product is designed to be photographed as much as consumed.

What’s on the Menu

The headline items are already viral. Chicken fingers (crisp, golden, and served with house‑made sauces) have become the store’s unofficial mascot. The $75 matcha, whisked tableside and presented in minimalist ceramic, is part indulgence, part performance. Specialty items include the Golden Olive Oil, imported and bottled with Meadow Lane branding, and seasonal pastries that rotate weekly. Every dish and drink is designed to be both consumable and Instagram-able, reinforcing the store’s identity as a social media‑born brand.

The Setting & Costs

Inside, the space is polished and expansive, with high ceilings and curated lighting. Grocery runs here feel like attending an event – a place to browse, socialize, and of course, spend. However, that experience comes at a price: $12 grapes, $15 nuggets, $65 olive oil, and the viral $75 matcha. Prepared foods often run into double digits, with baskets topping $200.

Despite the sticker shock, crowds continue to form outside the Tribeca location. The store leans into its TikTok origins, presenting itself as a luxury community hub where beauty and access come at a cost.
