It’s official: the most high-profile wedding of the year is happening in Venice. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez—power couple, yacht lovers, and masters of the soft-launch engagement—will touch down in La Serenissima for what we expect to be a lavish, ultra-private celebration. And while the canals are full of whispers and paparazzi lenses are pointed in every possible direction, one detail has already emerged: the couple’s home base while in Venice. According to sources, Bezos and Sánchez have booked the Grand Canal Suite at the five-star Aman Venice. A hotel so discreet and magnificent, it might as well be its own kingdom. Let’s peek inside the palace-worthy setup where the duo is reportedly prepping to say “I do.”

Aman Venice

The Aman Venice is a 16th-century palazzo re-imagined for those who treat five stars as a starting point. It’s located right on the Grand Canal, inside the Palazzo Papadopoli. And yes, it still has its original Tiepolo frescoes and Rococo-style rooms. And the jaw-dropping chandeliers of course, that look like they were lifted from Versailles (they weren’t, but still). With just 24 suites, Aman keeps things quiet—very quiet. Which is probably why it’s become the go-to choice for ultra-wealthy guests who want luxury without the flashbulbs. That said, once you’re inside, it’s all lavish gardens, floating staircases and incredible high ceilings.

The Grand Canal Suite

The Grand Canal Suite is the crown jewel of the Aman Venice. It’s a sprawling, baroque fantasy with views that’ll ruin every other hotel room for you, forever. Sitting on the piano nobile (that’s noble floor), the suite overlooks the Grand Canal through monumental windows framed by gilded drapery and centuries-old stucco. Inside, the space is pure romance. It has ceilings painted in soft pastels, marble fireplaces, and antique furniture that looks like it once belonged to a minor European royal. And maybe it did, who knows. There’s a massive living room, a dining area in case you want a private feast, and a king-sized bedroom designed for both beauty sleep and bragging rights. Basically, it’s like a private palace for two. And this time, those two are Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.

Dining

The Aman keeps its culinary game refined and unfussy. Arva, the hotel’s main restaurant, is all about seasonal Italian ingredients. So you can enjoy truffle pasta and fresh Adriatic seafood plated like edible sculpture. It’s run by Executive Chef Dario Ossola, who knows how to turn simple local ingredients into something worthy of a private equity dinner party. And while there’s no big-name Michelin star on the wall, that’s kind of the point. This is luxury with taste, not hype. They are serving meals on the canal-facing terrace, in the garden, or—if you’re Bezos—in your suite. With a white-gloved waiter and a bottle of Sassicaia you don’t even need to ask for.

Spa

You won’t find a flashy spa with a dozen treatment rooms and a juice bar here. Instead, the Aman Venice has a tiny, ultra-exclusive spa hidden on the mezzanine level. There are just a couple of treatment rooms, but the therapists are top-tier. They are trained in the Aman’s signature East-meets-West wellness style. Expect massages that go deep, facials that glow for days, and a hushed ambience that feels miles away from the tourist-clogged piazzas outside. For Bezos and Sánchez, it’s the perfect sanctuary to unwind before the big day—or maybe recover from a pre-wedding party or two. So, while most of Venice is wondering who’s on the guest list or what the dress will look like, we know at least one thing: Bezos and Sánchez will be sleeping like royalty, waking up to gondolas below their windows, and living their best billionaire lives at the Aman Venice.
