Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC

Michaela Atiae, Staff Writer

It’s official, this past weekend, you spotted Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC. And they weren’t hiding either, with outings to Brooklyn’s Lucali where the neighborhood went literally into mayhem. Then there was the wedding at Electric Lady Studios, where again there was a paparazzi frenzy. Surprisingly though the crowds were most tame at the spotting of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC at the Men’s Finals at the U.S. Open. So where else will Taylor and Travis pop up in NYC? Chances are you’ll see them at one of their usual favorites, as Travis doesn’t have a game for another week.

The Restaurant: The Waverly Inn and Garden

The NYC Neighborhood: West Village

One of the favorites to spot Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC is the downtown classic Waverley Inn. They were first spotted leaving The Waverly Inn restaurant last October. The IT couple were full of smiles and holding hands on their way out of the restaurant. While the vibes may be high from the giddiness of a new relationship, The Waverly Inn’s comforting tavern-style cuisine might just be a contributing factor. How could you leave the restaurant unhappy when Duck Confit, Burrata Salad, and a reputable burger are on the menu? The restaurant’s setting doesn’t hurt either; the oversized red leather booths under a gleam of soft yellow lighting and the garden seating filled with delicate flower arrangements set the tone of romance. You might just bump into Swift or another celebrity couple during a reservation because Swift is said to frequent the celebrity spot.

The Restaurant: Nobu Fifty Seven

The NYC Neighborhood: Midtown West

Before their SNL debut, you could spot Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC at Nobu Fifty Seven. Say what you will about Nobu; it’s tossed around the press as delicious or over-hyped. But if celebrities who have the liberty of dining anywhere keep coming back, there must be a reason. The menu features a yellowtail jalapeno sashimi, rock shrimp tempura, and black cod miso. As a first-time diner, the restaurant recommends sharing three cold dishes, three hot, sushi, and then dessert – family style. If you’re a Nobu regular and a Kelce super fan, you can opt for the toro special in his honor. It’s the footballer’s go-to.

The Restaurant: Catch Steak New York

The NYC Neighborhood: Chelsea

Plan to spot Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in NYC  at Catch Steak New York. This is where to go if you want to eat like the couple, of course, but also enjoy a classic steakhouse experience with seafood and prime cut options. The menu dedicates a whole section to Japanese Wagyu, even offering flights for the Wagyu curious. The spacious restaurant has four dining rooms, an outdoor patio, and a rooftop. So, if the goal is to stake out a celebrity, you may have to do some exploring.
