There’s a vacation, and then there’s a vacation in a palace in Vienna. After all, Vienna’s charm is legendary. So naturally, when luxury hotel brand Almanac transformed two 17th century palace buildings into the ultimate boutique hotel, the Almanac Palais Vienna became one of the top hotels in Vienna. The hotel beautifully combines the opulent decor of Imperial Vienna with the tasteful simplicity of the 21st century. Here’s everything you need to know about the Almanac Palais Vienna.

Location

Almanac Palais Vienna is located on the Ringstrasse — the grand boulevard that encircles the center of Vienna. And while you’ll be located in the heart of the city, it couldn’t be easier to get some peace and quiet. The hotel overlooks Stadtpark, a sprawling green oasis known for being Vienna’s first public park. When you’re ready to explore all of what the historic Austrian capital has to offer, Almanac Palais Hotel provides easy access to the city’s most iconic sights, sitting less than a ten-minute walk from the bustling Stephansplatz.

Accommodation

Almanac Palais Vienna boasts 31 rooms and a whopping 80 suites. There are rooms and suites that accommodate two, three, or four guests. And then there’s the Palais Floor, which can accommodate eight people — an entire floor for you and your whole squad. You can basically think of it as the most luxurious slumber party of all time. And the vibes are immaculate; in a city that royals once called home, you will definitely be living like kings and queens during your stay.

Food & Drink

Eat, drink, and be merry? Check, check, and check. Almanac Palais Vienna houses a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. Before you head out for sightseeing, stop by Elias Coffee Shop. The bright and airy “Viennoiserie” sells juices, 100% snacks, pastries, and of course, freshly brewed coffee. If you’re more of a sit-down type, grab a table at Donnersmarkt Restaurant. The restaurant utilizes regional ingredients to curate plant-forward, Alpine-inspired menus for breakfast and dinner. And every good night starts and ends with a cocktail, right? Donnersmarkt Bar serves low ABV drinks and light bites with a side of low-lit, cozy ambience.

Health & Wellness

If you’re looking for some “me” time on your Viennese holiday, Almanac Palais Vienna offers a tranquil indoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, steam room and sauna, and a spa with an extensive treatment menu. From massages and facials, to the signature Viennese Lift & Glow Ritual, every treatment is the royal treatment at Almanac Spa. Hotel guests can also participate in weekly yoga classes, while non-guests can purchase one of three yearly memberships to access the spa facilities.

Art

In addition to everything else, Almanac Palais Vienna is truly passionate about art. Due to an exclusive partnership with Galerie bei der Albertina Zetter, the entire hotel features one-of-a-kind paintings and sculptures from top Austrian artists. Art aficionados can book the Vienna Art Suite, which is filled with a private collection of Austrian art. Another suite even displays an original drawing by Gustav Klimt. On top of that, all hotel guests can enjoy complimentary entrance to the Belvedere 21 museum with their Almanac Palais Vienna room key, while those staying the Vienna Art Suite can also receive free entry to the Upper and Lower Belvedere.
