The Intoxicating Provence

Four Seasons Provence at Terre Blanche

As the lavender fields are in full bloom, I am picturing driving through Provence in the South of France. Provence is a place where you are overwhelmed by the simplicity of the intoxicating smell in the air, cheese so ripe it is bursting open and medieval towns which are pretty much the same as they were hundreds of years ago. You can hit the scene in St. Tropez and Cannes, or as we are doing this week at Galavante, experience country living.

Eva, our Co-Founder, has the fortune to live in Zurich, so it seems that every week she is traveling somewhere gorgeous. Provence is one of her favorites, and she shares the inside track on undiscovered places with her signature high-brow, elegant spin.

Cristina and her gorgeous brood give us all hope that galavanting is not over when you have kids. Besides Dylan and Andrew’s requisite stay at the Hotel du Cap, their family uncovered Provence in the countryside. With children, there is just something so special about discovering the natural beauty of this stunning region.
