It’s another day of mass speculation on when and where the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wedding will take place. The latest is that they’re going to tie the knot in a $600 million Aspen wedding on December 28th. The first thing that tips us off that this isn’t true is the $600 million price tag. Fellow billionaire Bill Ackman called this out too, as while Aspen is expensive, you would have to buy a lot of real estate to reach the heights of the Ambani wedding this year. (Which by the way, was the $600 price tag). However a Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding would be pretty epic, especially at the spots where the happy couple could host their A-list friends. A lot of them, like Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian call Aspen home over the holidays anyway, so it would be easy to pop by for the festivities.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Aspen
While the Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding rumor has been denied by Mr. Bezos himself, one can dream. These are the places that the purported events are taking place, which would be a dream itself for the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wedding.
Kevin Costner’s Ranch
If there was a Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding, it certainly would involved Kevin Costner’s ranch, The Dunbar. Set on 160 acres at the base of Independence Pass, Kevin Costner’s ranch is one of the most popular places to host a wedding. There are three residences on the ranch, and normally they tent out spots within the sprawling property for wedding events. While $36,000/night is not inexpensive to rent Kevin Costner’s ranch, you would need to essentially buy his ranch and build totally new homes on it to each a rumored $600,000 price tag. However if this is where the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wedding would take place, The Dunbar is as authentic Aspen ranch living as it gets.
Matsuhisa
You don’t come to Aspen without having dinner at Matsuhisa, or as regulars call it, Matsu, at least once. Like the authenticity of Aspen that is part of the charm, Matsuhisa is in a converted house in the heart of downtown. For the Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding festivities, it was rumored that Matsuhisa would be one of the gathering spots. Anyone who has been to Matsu though knows that it’s an intimate space. If it was a venue for the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wedding, it would mean that a lot of their friends wouldn’t make the list. You never know though; only time will tell if Matsu makes the list.
AspenX Mountain Club
Of all the venues where a Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding could take place, AspenX is technically the newest of the bunch. Completely revamped in 2022, AspenX Mountain Club is a chic dining and mountain lodge (sans the hotel rooms). At the top of Ajax mountain, the AspenX Mountain Club has the best view, hands down, in Aspen. While it sounds lovely for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding festivities, it only fits 250 people for a cocktail party, or 76 or so for dinner. So while this chic spot would be optimal for a Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding, we have a feeling that the happy couple has far more than 250 who will join them for festivities.
Caribou Club
Of all of the potential spots for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Aspen, the Caribou Club is a den of debauchery institution. At some point of your ski trip, you’ll end up late night on the dance floor at Caribou. In fact, if there was a Jeff Bezos Aspen wedding, Caribou would absolutely cater their events. Caribou has some of the best food in Aspen, that is if you’re allowed past the velvet rope. Caribou is a members-only club, but you’ll find someone to bring you along for the fun. Now if they could just get you an invitation to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding.
