Baby, Just Stay Yes. And yes she did. It’s official: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, and they announced it on Instagram for the world to see. We actually thought the engagement already happened and they just took time to enjoy the news in privacy earlier this summer. But clearly timing is everything. As Taylor announced on her Instagram, the gym teacher and English teacher are getting married.
We called it last summer that the Taylor and Travis engagement would happen close to home. The exact location hasn’t been yet revealed, the summer garden setting looks like it could be Tennessee, Taylor’s home state. Or it could be Kansas City, where Travis is based for football season. Wherever it happened, congratulations are in order, as these two are just perfect for each other. In honor of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement, these are a few of the favorite spots that they traveled to in their two-year courtship.
The Destination: Lake Como
The Hotel: Villa Sola Cabiati at Grand Hotel Tremezzo
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce enjoyed some time off last summer at the iconic private estate of Villa Sola Cabiati. Villa Sola is part of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, arguably the most luxurious hotel on Lake Como. Villa Sola is as Italian palazzo vibes as it gets. The home of nobility in the 16th Century, Villa Sola is filled with restored original frescos, Murano chandeliers and stunning views of Lake Como. We know Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement just happened, but we’re hoping this is where they do the wedding.
The Destination: Paris
The Hotel: Hotel de Crillon
Before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged, they spent a summer during Taylor’s European tour in Europe. After Lake Como, they hunkered down at the Hotel de Crillon, an 18th century palace in the heart of Paris. What can we say? It seems that Taylor likes her palace vibes. The Crillon is part of the Rosewood hotels, and has been fully restored to its palace glory. Also filled with crystal chandeliers and ornate frescos, The Crillon is one of the most classic places to stay in the world.
The Destination: Montana
The Compound: Yellowstone Club
While Taylor and Travis can stay anywhere they want, and clearly enjoy the palace life, we love them because they’re down to earth. They like their mountain time too, though when you have that much star power, privacy is key. That’s why they were spotted at The Yellowstone Club, where you pretty much have to be a billionaire to join. With a private ski resort, golf and multi-million dollar homes, we’re betting that they buy a place as they grow their family. They’ll join folks like Bill Gates, Tom Brady and Justin Timberlake, who are just a few of the notables with homes at the Yellowstone Club.
