Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom; these two kids — they sure know how to live life. It’s pretty cool that they’re neighbors with Harry and Meghan. Not the ignore your neighbors either, but rather let’s pop over and borrow a cup of sugar kind of friends. The pandemic didn’t stop their family vacation to Hawaii either, or that jaunt to Europe as soon as borders opened. It’s nice to see they are kinda just like us, playing tourist in places like Venice. And they have great taste in hotels. When in doubt, just take what Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are having.
The Destination: Bodrum
Just months after giving birth to daughter, Daisy, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom set off to get some “us” time. One of their first stops? Bodrum, Turkey. The unusual destination is actually one of the most beautiful places in the world to see ruins, play in the water and explore the 500-year-old villages. We’re jealous of their paddle boarding and snorkeling adventures. And of course, we would love to have joined them for their Six Senses stay. Private beaches paired with Aegean cuisine, architecture, and style make the upscale hotel distinctly luxurious. Of course, its also complete with a 10,000 square-meter spa.
Where they stayed: Six Senses Kaplankaya
The Destination: Paris
After their outdoorsy stay at Kaplankaya, it was time to get metropolitan again in their longtime favorite city. But they don’t do Paris like the rest of us. After arriving, they were whisked away in a chartered Mercedes Vito and taken to a private dinner for Louis Vuitton Parfum. Daisy, who is still learning how to crawl, has already eaten fancier food than we ever will. Afterwards, the young fam spent their days strolling around the first arrondissement, popping into their favorite stores, Acne and Erdem. They finished off with a red carpet dinner at Le Grand Véfour, a landmark of gastronomy in Paris. We wish we could say our trips to Paris were this cool.
Where they stayed: They kept their stay in Paris quiet, but our recommendation would be the Four Seasons George V. It’s classic and the place for a parents’ getaway.
The Destination: Venice
While the pair didn’t disclose where they slept in Paris, they were not hush-hush about their suite at the Aman hotel at Palazzo Papadopoli. On the contrary, Katy posted several sappy posts all over Instagram. We don’t blame her; it would be hard not to. The nearly £5000 per night suite has been a favorite European destination among the elite since before Aman even owned it. Whether lunching under wisteria in the courtyard or relaxing near the Grand Canal, the couple appeared to be soaking up all the opulence. Rococo interiors designed by Jean-Michel Gathy paired with authentic 16th-century art make the living spaces museum-like, in the best way. And when away from their special suite, the pair took leisurely boat rides and, of course, a glassblowing class. Because what else are you supposed to do in Venice?
