Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods walk into a bar and… decide to co-found their own tavern. And if this seems in the sand bunker to you, JT is actually a legit scratch golfer, and investor.
The History
It all started with a round of golf at Albany in the Bahamas. While palling around in the Caribbean, Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods (both shareholders of NEXUS Luxury Collection), teed up their next joint venture. The vision? A dining and entertainment experience centered around competition, gaming and sports, music, and of course, good food. T-Squared Social opened their first location in Midtown Manhattan in September 2023. Now, the duo is bringing hole-in-one energy across the pond to a fitting location: St Andrews.
Why St Andrews?
Located in the northeast of Fife, Scotland, St Andrews is basically the holy land for all things golf. It’s home to the world’s oldest golf course (aptly named the “Old Course at St Andrews) and is known worldwide as the “home of golf”. Plus, Tiger Woods has a personal connection to St Andrews. He won the Open Championship on the Old Course in both 2000 and 2005 and considers it his “favorite course in the world.” His Open days may be behind him, but something tells us Tiger’s late-night hangs in St Andrews are just getting started.
Entertainment
There’s a reason it’s called T-Squared Social and not T-Squared Sports Bar. Set within St Andrews historic New Picture House, T-Squared is just as much about activities and entertainment as it is about brews and bar bites. Channel your inner Tiger in one of the Full Swing sports simulators. They offer 14 games including golf, football, rugby, cricket, lacrosse and more. Or, challenge your friends to a game of darts in one of the Dartsee lanes. (Anyone else out of breath already?)
When that gloomy Scottish weather has you stuck inside, T-Squared Social lets you flex your competitive side, rain or shine. Tiger and JT have also kept a nod to the New Picture House’s roots as a 1930s cinema. The space has two movie theatre screens that show new releases, old favorites, and of course, live sports.
Food & Beverage
Once you’ve inevitably worked up an appetite (and a sweat), T-Squared Social’s casual all-day dining has everything you need to fuel up. Their small plates and sharers feature OG bar food favs. Think wings, sliders, and fries. But there are also some truly Scottish additions like haggis bonbons, caviar tattie scones, and veggie haggis tacos. Main dishes include fish and chips, a hot honey chicken sandwich, and a loaded hot dog, to name a few.
As for beverages, take your pick from a variety of beers, ciders, and alcohol-free options. They offer all your favorite classic cocktails as well as T2 Signatures like Popcorn and Cola (bourbon infused with fresh cinema popcorn and topped with Coca-Cola) and a Chai Spice Martini (rum, chai, coffee liqueur, and double cream). Oh, and there’s also an extensive wine and spirits list. If you wanna hang with the pros, you gotta drink like ‘em.
