Today we Galavante to St. Tropez, which is indulgence defined. It is tough to beat summering in the South of France, or at least galavanting for a long weekend. The South of France is pure glamour, and St. Tropez is the center of all the action. For me, it has everything I want out of a weekend. I check into the Byblos Hotel, located right in town, and also the locale of the best club in all of France-Le Cave du Roy. I am past my prime clubbing days, but this is one place where the gorgeous of all ages congregate. The music here just owns you.
The shopping in St. Tropez is off-the-hook; while we have Lanvin and Jimmy Choo all over the world, we don’t have the signature St. Tropez pieces, and we certainly don’t have a sandal maker whose family has owned the same shop since 1867. This was my first foray into custom made shoes, and definitely one of the most beautiful in my collection.
What I also loved about St. Tropez was the quiet. When we weren’t at the Club 55 having rose on the beach, we escaped to Ramatuelle, a quiet town with gorgeous home cooking. We wandered the art galleries, and brought home a few pieces, which remind me everyday how sweet life is.
All the Best,
