We can’t believe we’re recommending a cruise, but there’s a first time for everything. The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection’s luxurious family cruise looks set to disrupt the cruise industry. The hotel’s private yacht Evrima is set for her maiden voyage this August. Here’s a preview.
The Evrima
Finally making its way out of Athens, Greece after two years of delays, the Evrima is the first vessel in the Ritz Carlton’s yacht collection. The three yachts are aimed at providing a luxurious family cruise experience. At 623 feet, the Evrima is about half of the average length of a regular cruise ship. It can accommodate 298 passengers in 149 rooms. Each room has its own terrace and a minimum of 300 square feet. Families staying in the two Owner’s Suites have their own whirlpool, kitchenette and dining area. Additionally, the two levels of the Loft Suite are perfect for housing multigenerational families.
World-class dining
One deck down from the luxurious suites is S.E.A., a top-notch restaurant headed by chef Sven Elverfeld. Elverfeld previously cooked at Ritz Carlton’s Aqua in Wolfsburg, Germany, and helped it gain three Michelin stars.
The ship also includes an observation deck, a cigar lounge, a wine vault, a spa and a pool. This season, the Evrima will travel to the Greek Isles, the French Riviera, the Balearic Islands, and the Adriatic Coast. All aboard!
