If you’ve ever wondered when the perfect time is for a weekend in Milan, the answer is anytime. Milan is a year-round city where there’s always something cool going on. Good restaurants with top food. Pretty streets for a stroll. And now the Park Hyatt has returned, after a full-on renovation.
Located in the heart of Milano, the five-star Park Hyatt hotel is nothing short of iconic. It’s housed guests like Lady Gaga and Michelle Obama. Now, after two years of renovations, the property is ready for visitors again.
The Updates
What happens when one of Milan’s best hotels gets a $20 million facelift? According to Hyatt’s Area Vice President Monique Dekker, the hotel has a reinvented atmosphere with an emphasis on personalized experience. Yes, the property has a new look. But the team at Park Hyatt Milan carefully preserved the hotel’s historical identity. The result? All the original charm with a twist of innovation.
Both the color palette and overall design reference the Duomo of Milan, further solidifying the property’s landmark status. The Park Hyatt Milan has 106 guest rooms and 25 suites, while select rooms offer stunning views of the city. The rooms reflect the theme of the hotel’s design: airy, elegant, and comfortable.
New Additions
Perhaps the biggest update in Park Hyatt Milan’s renovation is the reimagining of its beloved restaurants and common spaces. Pellico 3 Milano is the newest culinary addition. The bright, welcoming space designed by architect Flaviano Capriotti features a main hall as well as a private dining room for 10. The restaurant is rooted in a strong food philosophy, led by new head chef Guido Paternollo. The goal is to awaken guests’ five senses with delicious seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean flavors. Pellico 3 Milano is the new kid on the block, but the Park Hyatt Milan kept its original dining spaces. You can still enjoy snacking on pintxos with a view at Dehors, the outdoor lounge. Or grab a drink at Mio Lab, the renowned cocktail bar. And you will not be denied all-day dining at the beloved La Cupola.
Classics Reimagined
In addition to the hotel’s new flourishes, its classic amenities are back and better than ever. For example, the AQVAM Spa has reopened. The renovated space features a Turkish bath, multifunctional showers, and a gold mosaic-clad jacuzzi bath. Stop in for unique treatments from the 111SKIN treatment line. Similarly, the gym is now outfitted with the latest generation of Technogym equipment.
