If you thought Mayfair has it all, you stand corrected. Mayfair, the swankiest neighborhood in London, is opening a new luxury hotel. In late 2025, Auberge Resorts Collection – the hospitality group renowned for its 29 exceptional properties throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe – will debut a brand-new hotel at one of the city’s most iconic addresses in London: Cambridge House at 94 Picadilly. Now, Mayfair has it all.

Cambridge House

Cambridge House is a Grade-I-listed Georgian townhouse, constructed between 1756 and 1764. Naturally, it stands as a storied edifice of exceptional beauty and historical importance. After all, Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (who served as prime minister of the United Kingdom not once, but twice) made it his home.

Over the years, the 200,000-square-foot property has welcomed the likes of Queen Victoria, no less. Better yet, the hotel won’t just be Cambridge House itself – it will encompass seven residences in total, including the two magnificent buildings on the right and left of the house. The renovations for $215 million are in full swing, by architecture firm Studio PDP (under the watchful eye of Heritage England and Westminster City Council, of course).

The Location

Mayfair in London is pretty much where it’s at, wall-to-wall. You have Hyde Park to the west, Oxford Street to the north, Regent Street to the east, and The Green Park to the south. But Mayfair doesn’t just boast remarkable historic homes. It also offers seven Michelin-starred restaurants and a wealth of elegant shopping opportunities on Savile Row (famous for its talented tailors).

Accommodation

So far, Auberge has shared few details about what Cambridge House will look like when the work is done. All we know is that the decor will be classically English, inspired by history (checks out). And that renowned designers Jean-Louis Deniot and Laura Gonzalez are working their magic as we speak.

What we also know for sure is that Cambridge House will boast 102 rooms, multiple dining venues, and a double-level spa. Naturally, there will also be a private members’ club that will consist of nine rooms and a bar (how else?).

Food and Drinks

In classic Auberge fashion, Cambridge House has thought of everything. It’ll have something for those who seek peace and privacy, and for those looking to take advantage of Mayfair’s buzzing social scene. They already announced a brasserie-style restaurant in the manor’s ballroom setting, and an open-air venue in the property’s courtyard.

Health and Wellness

One of the most awaited amenities is the double-level spa, which will be located at the back of the house at a lower-ground and basement level. And if the design takes inspiration from Britain’s Roman bathhouses (which it does), you know it’s something to write home about.

Cambridge House’s spa will include two heated pools, hydrotherapy facilities, multiple treatment rooms, a gym, and a relaxation room built around a firepit.
