When you’re in a “No autographs, please” frame of mind, that’s when a private abode is a good idea. But there’s no roughing it. Some may even say that you’re upgrading when you stay in these homes on your next vacay. If you thought Bad Bunny spending $150,000 per month to rent a penthouse in West Chelsea was expensive, buckle up. Deluxe rentals in the chicest of destinations aren’t much cheaper. Many are pricier — see for yourself. This is the best of the best when it comes to renting expensive vacation homes.

Villa Ana Flamands, Saint-Barts

Saint-Barts is, hands down, the most exclusive island in the Caribbean. As such, if you are to vacation at this deluxe destination, you need a rental that matches the vibe. And there are fewer villas more luxurious than Villa Ana Flamands, one of Eden Rock Villa Rental’s most prized listings.

Villa Ana Flamands is a five-bedroom, ultra-luxurious home that features some of the most sought-after sea and mountain views. And because A-list guests don’t want to be seen, the property also provides utmost privacy. As expected from a property of this caliber, the contemporary villa has a Jacuzzi, an outdoor heated pool (with views of the Caribbean Sea), and a private gym. Guests get breakfast delivered to the house every morning and there’s a personal butler and a private chef at your disposal. The villa’s location on Flamands Beach is unbeatable, so if the pool isn’t your thing, you don’t have far to go for a refreshing dip. Villa Ana Flamands rents for between $120,000 and $450,000 per week, depending on the time of year.

Château Saint-Maur, Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez has been the haunts of the rich and famous since the late 1950s. And with the arrivals of notables in the then-small fishing village came extraordinary homes. In 2025, that translates to an abundance of beautiful villas for rent, each one more impressive than the next. But if money is no object, there’s one place that trumps all the others: Château Saint Maur.

The red-colored chateau, built in the Provencal style, is part of an immense wine estate in the small town of Cogolin. No, it’s not in the center of Saint-Tropez, but it’s only a 20-minute car ride away. What it lacks in sea views, the chateau makes up in space – with 8 double bedrooms, the property can accommodate up to 16 guests. Also, in case the indoors aren’t sufficient, there are 40 acres of land for guests to enjoy total privacy, peace, and quiet. The on-site amenities are outstanding: heated pool, hammam, massage room, fitness area, tennis court, and yoga space. There’s even a full wine cellar, a chapel, and a nightclub. Château Saint-Maur rents for between $236,000 to $261,000 per week.

Villa 20 Amanzoe, Greece

You can never go wrong by opting to stay in an Aman property, but Villa 20 has to be one of the brand’s most opulent residences. And the fact that the neoclassical villa is on a hill in the Peloponnese, with views of the Aegean Sea, only adds to the attraction.

Villa 20 is simply immense. Not only does it have enough room to sleep up to 18 guests and accommodate 18 staff members, but it has 11 pools, five kitchens, and even a Greek taverna. And if this wasn’t enough, there’s also a library, a game room, and a Technogym fitness area. Of course, there’s a spa complete with a steam room, a hammam, a cold plunge pool, a lap pool, a whirlpool, and multiple treatment rooms. For those who prefer to be outdoors, the loungers around the pool and under the many olive trees should provide ample relaxation. If you want to head to the beach, Villa 20 guests have access to a private cabana at the Amanzoe Beach Club. While the price of renting Villa 20 is only available upon inquiry, rumor has it that it starts at $25,000 per night.

Templeton House, England

You don’t have to go to Mayfair or Kensington to find the most opulent of London’s accommodations. Roehampton, an area south west of the English capital, has a 28,000-square-foot Georgian mansion that will knock the socks off even the most blasé of luxury travelers: Templeton House.

Fully renovated to its original glory at a cost of around $40 million in 2019, the 1780s property comprises eight bedrooms, along with a massive spa with a swimming pool, a wine cellar, a movie theater, a vaulted dining room, and much-much more. Every detail of the grand decor has been carefully thought out so that guests feel transported to 18th-century England. The perfectly manicured gardens provide enough space to give guests all the privacy they require.

The Templeton estate underwent further work in 2022 to include three more properties: the Dower House, Cottages, and Stable. All of them are just as impressive as the main house and also available for rent. An ideal situation for large groups.

The entire Templeton estate is part of Richstone Collection a brand that develops, creates, and owns ultra-luxurious properties in London, Mauritius, and the South of France. While the price of renting Templeton House is not made available to the general public, we’ve heard it’s upward of $30,000 per night.

Penthouse Peter, New York City

People always say New York City apartments are small. Well, those people have never heard of Penthouse Peter. With over 8,000 square feet of space, seven full bathrooms, six bedrooms, and a 93-foot-long living room, this LVH condominium is the exact opposite of small. In fact, we’d go as far as saying it’s huge.

But size isn’t everything, and Penthouse Peter has a lot of aces up its sleeve. For one, because it’s located way up one of the world’s tallest residential towers, it offers jaw-dropping views of Central Park and the city skyline. Combine this with large windows and tall ceilings and you’ll feel like you’re floating above Manhattan. Second, the building’s shared amenities include a private restaurant, a 75-foot indoor pool, a fitness center, a yoga studio, and everything you’d expect to find in a spa, i.e. saunas, steam rooms, and massage rooms. And last but not least, guests at Penthouse Peter have access to a 24/7 concierge, an all-day steward, and a welcome ceremony worthy of royalty.

Of course, all this opulence comes at a price: $75,000 per night to be exact. That’s $525,000 for a seven-day stay in the city. But that includes use of the piano, Hermès furnishings, and cozy evenings by the fireplaces.

Belvoir Castle, England

If you’re happy to eschew London for the glorious English countryside on your next trip to the UK, Belvoir Castle might be right up your street. Located in Leicestershire, two hours north of the capital, this LVH property is for those who want a vacation a la Downton Abbey. The Regency-era castle can accommodate up to 27 guests  in 150,000 square feet of space, including 14 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and 16,000 acres of manicured gardens. In other words, Belvoir Castle is not really meant for solo travelers.

And it’s not just the amount of space that’s impressive. The decor is steeped in historical grandeur with antique furniture, objets d’art, paintings, gilded moldings, canopy beds, luxurious textiles, and patterned wallpaper filling every nook and cranny. Those who like a minimalist aesthetic should pass their way.

Despite the ambiance, modern luxurious amenities abound. There’s a swimming pool, tennis court, landing strip, and helipad to meet guests’ needs.

Belvoir Castle is available for rent at the price of around $67,000 per night, or $350,000 for a seven-day vacation you won’t soon forget.
