Mandarin Oriental NY Spa

Time to Om - The Mandarin Oriental New York
June 2, 2016

Why we like it:  We’ll take pretty much any excuse to hit up the relaxation room at the Mandarin Oriental Spa in New York, which overlooks Central Park.  But in this case to celebrate Global Wellness Day, they had us at immersive treatments, nutritious culinary experiences and yoga.  As a bonus, this time to om has some real substance behind it.  Over the weekend, of June 10-12, you’ll be introduced to Shivangi Van Gogh’s silent mantra meditation, based on sacred texts from India. Meditation is trending high for those seeking inner peace, and Shivangi will personally guide you through four 90-minute sessions over the course of the weekend to reach that coveted expanded sense of consciousness.  Expect to supplement all that mental strengthening with fresh-pressed green juices and organic gourmet meals.

The details:  Make it a staycation if you’re NYC-based, or make a special trip of it.  The program includes:

  • Two night’s accommodation in a guestroom or suite for one guest
  • Daily vegetarian breakfast and lunch to complement the meditation program
  • One 80-minute Calm Mind Retreat and access to The Spa’s Heat Experiences
  • Group yoga session in Central Park led by instructors from The Spa.

Additionally, a special days-only package is available for locals looking to find your inner om.
