Where to Stay in Tel Aviv

The Hotel: The Norman

Why we recommend it:

Israel is the birthplace of three religions and home to some of the world’s friendliest cultures. The bonus too is that it’s the land of the world’s greatest hummus. Now if that’s not a reason to travel, we don’t know what is. But in Tel Aviv, you can add in excellent places to stay to that list. For a long time, the only chic place to stay in Israel was The Norman. Nowadays, they have a newer formidable opponents on the market. However, the Norman still remains the benchmark for Israeli luxury.

There’s something to be said for independent boutique hotels, and its location can’t be beat. The Norman is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, steps away from all the action of Rothschild Boulevard. Also, no matter how many cool new hotels in Tel Aviv open, the Norman will always have style.

Unique Design + Decor

The rooms are beautifully design-focused, with touches unique to only The Norman. Lamps made of feathers, terraces that overlook the picturesque streets, and it has one of the best hotel bar scenes in town. The bar scene at the Norman sets the bar (no pun intended) for all hotel bar scenes.

The cool scene continues at the Norman’s rooftop infinity pool. There’s also a full-service spa, private yoga and detox sessions. After all that exercise, their garden restaurant has some of the best pancakes for brunch. After all, it’s all about balance when you’re on vacation.

What to know:

There are brand new hotel openings in Tel Aviv (such as The Jaffa), but The Norman will always have a special place in our hearts. And the location really is tough to beat. At The Norman, if you’re looking for unique design, a charming neighbhood, and genuine service, it’s the whole package.
