New Boutique Inn at South Hampton East

Road Trip: Maison Vivienne

Still waiting to unpack that suitcase from your summer in the Hamptons? Well, here’s the good news: you don’t have to yet—but you’ll want to throw in a couple of sweaters for good measure. You see, the Hamptons aren’t just for summers anymore. And if you’re staying at the Maison Vivienne, you’ll quickly see why.

The Maison Vivienne is a new boutique Inn located at South Hampton East, which is attracting people to the area all year round. The Inn hosts nine rooms with two suites in a charmingly decorated 17th century Dutch Colonial building. It’s really the hippest place to be this season—or any season for that matter. It’s also family-friendly, but with the leaves changing and the weather getting crisper, love is almost literally in the air and the Maison Vivienne is just too charming not to make this a romantic visit.

Oh, and if it couldn’t get any quainter, there’s an exquisite French-style restaurant. The architecture marries classic New England décor with all the best influences from Southern France—and that’s definitely a marriage built to last. Plus, no French restaurant would be complete without an impressive wine cellar, and Maison Vivienne is no exception. They have a glass cellar that displays over two thousand bottles. The meals alone make the trip worthwhile. The food is a modern twist on classical French cuisine and as his name would suggest, head chef Christian Souvenir will give you something to remember.

The best part of the Maison Vivienne, though, is its location. Just east of Hampton Bays, you’ve got the best of both worlds at your fingertips: the morning sunrises at Westhampton Beach or the growing art culture in East Hampton. And trust us, you’ll have more activities on the calendar than you’ll know what to do with. From pumpkin patches to apple picking, you’ll be able to get all that R&R you’ve been missing since the summer.

So grab the bag that’s been sitting in the corner since your last Hampton’s visit, throw it in the car, find a sitter, and get ready for your fall rendez-vous chez la Maison Vivienne.
