Fashionable In New York
November 22, 2011
By , The Goods Contributor

The 1970s continues to make its sassy mark on the fashion industry. To salute that era, we embrace Studio 54 and all the fashionistas who used to dance under disco balls. Some of those faces are still around, like Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacobs, all of whom are reinventing 1970s nostalgia with colors, textures, and shapes. This season, we saw the return of corduroy pants and those yellow and burgundy colors. Keeping in line with the current New Yorker's “uniform,” we’ve also become fans of everything oversized – big purses, big shades, big coats – and tall boots, no matter how many blocks we have to walk a day. Whatever your outfit, we suggest you pair it with the modern touch of an Alexander Wang purse. It’s no secret that he’s a favorite of models when they’re off duty.
